We run a dynamic interactive bidding system that is used at many of the world’s most exclusive fundraising events and is widely recognised as the No.1 fundraising technology business in the world.

We are currently looking for confident, client facing, freelance Event Technical Managers to join our growing team to work various events throughout the year. The role involves setting up the hardware and providing on-site tech support at live events. It also involves being client facing as you may be required to be the only Tech Manager at our events. Applicants must have a can-do attitude, work well under pressure and be able to proactively maintain the system during an event. We offer a full training programme with the opportunity for the right candidates to progress to a Senior Tech Manager. The role will include evening and weekend work. It is preferable that applicants have a full, clean driver’s licence enabling them to drive the USA. In particular, you’ll be really excited by the prospect of working many of the leading charities across the USA.

Responsibilities:

  • Setting up our services and local wireless networks at the event network – configure events settings, import data, test, monitor the system and run reports (training provided).
  • Troubleshoot technical issues during the event.
  • Work alongside the Event Team to ensure customer satisfaction throughout the event.

Skills required:

  • Good IT support skills – problem solving skills are crucial.
  • Knowledge of troubleshooting and fixing Windows 10 issues
  • Knowledge of diagnosing & fixing connectivity issues.
  • Able to plan, deploy and troubleshoot wireless networks – router, controller and access points.
  • Set-up and diagnose wireless network connections on a variety of devices - including tablets and mobiles.
  • Ability to set-up and troubleshoot network equipment, cabling, diagnosing and fixing PC hardware.
  • Excellent at communicating effectively with guests and team members.
  • The ability to work under pressure.
  • Independent and client facing – some of our events may require individual working.

Salary: From $25/hr (after training) with potential for more as a Senior Technical Manager.
