The George Washington University (GW) School of Medicine and Health Sciences (SMHS) and LifeBridge Health in Baltimore have established a new Regional Medical Campus (RMC) for the GW SMHS MD Program. The new RMC will be based at Sinai Hospital of Baltimore . The RMC will be home to a cohort of third- and fourth-year medical students with the opportunity to train in a community-focused health system with strong emphasis on primary and continuity care in a population health environment.
In advancing the mission of the RMC, SMHS is seeking an Executive Associate to support the Senior Associate Dean for the Regional Medical Campus at LifeBridge Health. The position provides comprehensive executive administrative support for the RMC Dean and serves as the office manager at the RMC.
Key responsibilities:
  • Supervisory oversight for staff in the office of the RMC Dean.
  • Oversee the administrative operations for the office of the RMC Dean, including policies and procedures, budget, payroll, timekeeping, space management and facility maintenance.
  • Conduct research, prepare background materials, analyses and reports for the RMC Dean on special projects and presentations to internal and external audiences.
  • Coordinate schedules and maintains complex calendar for RMC Senior Associate Dean, regularly prioritizing and arranging meetings, conferences and appointments.
  • Point of contact for the department and with vendors for procurement and travel. Prepare travel and event pre-authorization forms and travel reimbursements.
  • Maintains and monitors financial records for departmental, institutional or work unit accounts, including reconciliation of transactions, expense reports, requisitions, invoices and payment request forms and special event invoices and reimbursements.
  • Schedule in person and virtual meetings, create agendas, and prepare meeting minutes.
  • Manage documents for the Dean’s approval/signature. Facilitate signature of files, memos and other correspondence. Organize and maintain the official files, documents, and archive of the RMC Dean.
  • Manage the communication and collaboration between the Regional Medical Campus, the GW main campus and LifeBridge Health and other stakeholders as needed.
  • Edit articles, reports, statements, and promotional materials for publication or dissemination as required.
  • Maintain strict confidentiality on all matters involving the Dean’s Office, faculty and staff.


May liaise with other departments to ensure office administration policies, programs, and activities are appropriately aligned

The Executive Associate will perform other related duties as assigned. The omission of specific duties does not preclude the supervisor from assigning duties that are logically related to the position

Minimum Qualifications:

Qualified candidates will hold a Bachelor’s degree in an appropriate area of specialization. Degree must be conferred by the start date of the position. Degree requirements may be substituted with an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
