Position Summary
Assumes responsibility for advancing educational objectives of the University of Hartford by maintaining current business relationships and identifying and closing new areas for potential academic–based partnerships, program growth, and collaborative business relationships in order to create non-tuition revenue opportunities. Performs all duties in full support of the University’s mission, understanding that the positive and effective execution of these duties are instrumental to the education of the University ’s students.

Description of Key Responsibility
Identifies, cultivates, and fosters educational, business, and intellectual property development partnerships by serving as liaison between the various deans and provost, college departments, faculty, and staff. Directs and manages the coordination of partnerships and integration points with outside partners; operates cross-functionally across the university to achieve partner goals. Models the principals of University diversity, equity, inclusion, and justice in all partnerships.
Description of Key Responsibility
Provides strategic leadership and insight for University business development functions; directs and oversees current partnership relationships and develops new business within the existing partner base. Serves as coordinating point of contact for business partners
Description of Key Responsibility
Represents the University at workforce networking events, affinity groups, and business and industry associations. Works collaboratively and effectively with the Connecticut Conference of Independent Colleges (CCIC) organization and governmental entities in an effort to enhance the University of Hartford as a business partnership.
Description of Key Responsibility
Leads research of potential partner organizations, learning about their industry and business to identify short- and long-term challenges they are facing. Facilitates focused discussions and meetings with management to define the prospects’ issues further, enabling the University to develop solutions to fit their needs. Successfully partners with stakeholders to identify and implement strategically coordinated and effective business solutions.
Description of Key Responsibility
Develops and implements a growth plan for the University; markets new program options to secure new and expand upon current business partnerships. Increases the number of signature relationships and seeks to grow total revenue. Directs ongoing account management and business development activities for existing partnership relationships.

Presents proposals to management teams of prospective partners. Negotiates and develops contracts and memorandums of understanding (MOU) in an effort to ensure appropriate revenue and expense models.

Develops and manages the operating budget for the unit; prepares and analyzes status and progress reports; Develops, manages, and monitors adherence to all appropriate University and governmental policies and procedures.
Description of Key Responsibility
Cultivates cohesive and effective working relationships with University departments to facilitate information exchange and discussions, including offices of Diversity, Equity, and Community Engagement, academic deans and department chairs, graduate program directors, Development and Alumni Affairs, and Division for Student Success.
