Evenings, 20 hours/week, $19-$25/hour

The Facilities Coordinator position receives direction from the Manager of Parks and Facilities. This position is responsible for the night-time supervision of facilities (including custodians and rentals) and oversees the facility checklists for all locations. Successful applicants must be available to work evening hours; (3) three weekday nights, Friday being one of them. Maximum of 20 hours/week.

QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS

• The ability to perform the essential functions independently, without assistance. This includes the efficient lifting, transporting, and maneuvering of tables, chairs, and other heavy equipment.
• Physical fitness that is conducive to the essential job functions.
• Experienced with regular maintenance in vehicles and equipment.
• An interest in working in the parks and recreation field.
• Experience working in a park district, preferred.
• The ability to maintain a positive and effective working relationship with other employees and the public.
• An ability to listen and follow directions.
• The ability to perform required duties with initiative, accuracy, persistence, integrity, dependability, tact, and courtesy.
• Experience working with basic maintenance equipment, institutional-strength cleaning chemicals, and institutional cleaning procedures.
• The ability to interpret a work order or task list correctly.
• Valid driver’s license.
• CPR and AED certification.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
Essential duties and responsibilities may include, but are not limited to, any combination of the following tasks:

• Oversees pre-rental and post-rental condition of areas and furniture; completes a nightly wrap-up email for the day to supervisor.
• Acts as a point of contact in the evening for all locations (including Roselle Park District employees, patrons).
• Spot checks the daily custodial checklists at all locations.
• Managing rental and program setups for following day.
• Keep master set up binder current.
• Be a park monitor in the evenings (i.e. drive by park and building locations, look for vandalism, damage) as well as for locations that a rental or event is taking place.
• Make recommendations on continual improvements and note any changes for CRC maintenance in periodic report to supervisor.
• Perform monthly facility inspections for all locations.
• Perform vehicle/equipment inspections and maintenance as needed.
• Performs facility work orders as needed.
• Performs custodial responsibilities as needed, in absence of custodial staff
• Shovel snow/salt front door area, as needed (seasonal).
• Print out and distribute facility schedules for the next day.
• Support the Parks and Facilities Department with any requests.
