POSITION SUMMARY

This position supports both the customer service department and end-user by performing the following job functions.

JOB FUNCTIONS
Include the following, but other duties may be assigned.

• Technical Liaison on major development projects and Engineer-to-Order (ETO) customized application projects
• Technical liaison between engineering, manufacturing and customer service on product development applications
• Define and develop technical solutions in conjunction with engineering
• High level troubleshooting – electrical / PLC / mechanical / pneumatic / applications
• High level Support installations and start-up of new equipment
• High level, technical field service support by travelling to distributor and end user sites
• Provide detailed technical and applications training for in-house Service staff
• Troubleshoot with customers on various technical questions
• Research technical information for customers as well as for BAUER team members
• Gather and relay technical / performance information from existing BAUER-installed base in regards to the operation of equipment and provide feedback to engineering
• Perform technical on-site pre-installation and post installation surveys to ensure site conditions are in compliance with engineering standards
• Provides technical support to Technical Competency Center (TCC) in relation to specification review and compliance
• Build strong customer relationships
• Sell BAUER products and services
• Helpdesk support from headquarters or from the road via telephone and e-mail
• Maintains company and product reputation by complying with federal and state regulations
• Domestic and international travel, up to 75% of time

ESSENTIAL SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

• Five years minimum experience working with BAUER equipment on a high-level technical scale
• Strong organizational and communication skills with an ability to articulate technical information on all levels
• Project management skills and related experience
• Able to travel and possess a valid driver’s license with positive driving record along with a valid passport

VALUED BUT NOT REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

• Bachelor of Science in electrical or mechanical engineering (or similar field of study) from a four-year institution
• PMI certification

Vision abilities required. The employee must be able to lift up to 25 pounds with the ability to occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds or ask for assistance with lifting.

Normal hours are from 8:00am to 5:00pm EST Monday thru Friday, with overtime hours required at times. The noise levels in some manufacturing facilities frequently may exceed the normal dBA. When traveling through the plant, the incumbent must wear appropriate safety glasses. Hearing protection required in some areas.
