The Financial Accountant is responsible for maintaining and reconciling balance sheet accounts and will maintain accurate and complete records. Monthly internal audits and reporting the audit findings to management is essential. Participation in the annual interim audits and year-end audits is required. Participation in Financial information reporting to members of management is also expected.
Essential Functions:
- Continuous focus on increasing efficiencies, improving processes, and promoting teamwork.
- Ensure documentation is complete, accurate and secure.
- Participate in the monthly/quarterly/annual financial close process.
- Physically perform internal inventory audits at all manufacturing locations.
- Prepare, analyze & present recurring inventory/purchasing reports for leadership.
- Analyze inventory, cost, expense, and labor data and provide leadership with recommendations.
- General journal transaction entry; GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles) calculations and adjustments. * Verify and reconcile general ledger accounts.Presentation of financial data to members of management.
- Work closely with Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Purchasing, Finance and Information
Technology Teams. * Provide back-up and support for the Controller & Assistant Controller.
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work:This is a full-time position. Standard days of work are Monday through Friday (7:00am-4:00pm)Reports to: Controller
Required Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting; Minimum 5 Years of Experience in Accounting.
- Strong Microsoft Office skills, with emphasis in Excel and Power BI.
- Extensive knowledge of cost accounting and margin analysis.
- Excellent self-motivation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Motivation to develop and maintain internal and external relationships.
- Strong planning and problem-solving skills.
Wage based on experience.
