Financial Analyst II
Scheduled Hours: 8:30am-5:00pm
Key responsibilities include:
- Create and distribute monthly reports to Operations/Transportation management team members
- Supports the forecasting, budgeting and long range planning processes for the Business Units and Shared Services
- Support analytics for key decisions on projects such as new facilities, facility consolidation and capital investment
Reports to the Director, Finance, Operations & Logistics Services
Major Responsibilities:
- Prepares and communicates monthly reporting and tracking for the supported business functions (e.g., ORS Financial Performance report, Journal Entry Detail files, Special Pay analysis, WOW reporting, etc.)
- Supports the development of the annual operating plan and periodic forecasts working with the Business Unit Planning function. Provides proactive variance analysis on forecast/budget to actual results. Identifies, recommends and implements corrective action plans as required.
- Provides financial support for the long range planning process in the supported business functions.
- Provides financial support to the Operations-Transportation-Inventory Mgmt Shared Service organization
- Works with Accounting and Business Unit Finance to continuously review the management reporting structure of the business, including profit centers, cost centers and accounts.
- Supports continuous improvement efforts in financial processes and tools incorporating best practices.
- Manages processes, budgets, performance management, and compliance activities as required.

Skills/Knowledge Required:
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills.
- Exceptional verbal, interpersonal and written communication skills and ability to communicate complex business issues in a clear and concise manner.
- Strong project management skills and ability to effectively manage and prioritize multiple work assignments simultaneously.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office applications with strong Excel skills in data compilation and aggregation (e.g., pivot tables, v-lookup).
- Proficiency in TOAD, SAP Financials, and Essbase
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance or Economics.
- CPA (Certified Public Accountant) certification or MBA is a plus.
- Minimum two (2) years experience in financial roles, preferably in a large corporate environment; three (3) years experience preferred.
