Job Title: Embedded Software Engineer
Location: Austin/Round Rock, Texas
Qualifications – Qualified candidates should have broad interest in electromechanical systems and machine control, as well as the manufacturing processes needed for production. The candidate should maintain the flexibility to meet strict deadlines, adjust work priorities, and enable the continuous progress of multiple projects.
Your Opportunity – As a system software engineer, you will be given the chance for a meaningful and recognizable impact in our company’s evolution. You will be part of small collaborative team working with a wide variety of technologies and products. Your responsibilities will include designing, prototyping, integrating, and sustaining innovative products. Our photonic curing systems are enabling new and exciting electronics manufacturing processes worldwide. You will have a large role in crafting that change.
Responsibilities:
- Design and develop firmware for machine control and monitoring on an industrial distributed I/O platform with embedded real time control and programmable digital fabric
- Maintenance and issue resolution for both internal and external customers
- Workbench, unit, and system testing as needed
- Implement integrations/solutions for specific customer applications
- Coordinate implementations with small team of co-located engineers including electrical and mechanical design teams when applicable Requirements:
- BS or MS in Electrical / Computer / Mechanical Engineering or equivalent
- 3+ years embedded programming experience in C, Cypress/Infineon preferred
- Understanding of common embedded communication protocols
- Strong interpersonal and communications skills
