Responsibilities
FOCUS, or Families OverComing Under Stress, is a program that helps military families manage the challenges of deployment and reintegration. As the FOCUS Resilience Trainer, your key duties include:
NOTE:
- Facilitate delivery of the FOCUS model, a manualized family training intervention and group workshops for military parents and children
- Complete and document individual intakes/orientations and psychological assessments with family participants and service encounters
- Assist with program outreach within the military community
- Oversee and/or ensure tracking and monitoring families' participation in services
- Complete short-term tracking of families that participate in the program
NOTE:
- This position is based at Gulfport, Mississippi.
- This project is funded by the United States Department of Defense – Office of the Secretary of Defense. By contract, this position is limited to U.S. citizens.
- May convert to career.
Salary range: $46,000-$166,400
Qualifications

- Ph.D. or M.A. in Psychology or related fields.
- Experience and/or knowledge about working with military populations.
- Experience in the area of family and/or child services.
- Experience delivering interventions to family and/or children in individual and/or group settings.
- Experience working with children, teens and adults.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Must have valid driver’s license, auto insurance and access to an automobile.
- Proficient in Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel, and Access.
- Ability to work flexible hours.
