Position Overview

The Food Service Associate assists in all areas in the department associated with resident food services at UHS Senior Living at Ideal.

Essential Functions

Essential functions are those tasks, duties and responsibilities that are performed with or without reasonable accommodation.

• Assembles resident meals as ordered and places meals in carts to be delivered to resident floors
• Properly portions salads, desserts, beverages, etc. for meal service
• Gathers/prepares floor supplies/nourishments for resident needs.
• Delivers trays and/tray carts to resident floors.
• Assists in dish room and strips and cleans delivery carts/trays. Restocks china, silver, and other service supplies
• Maintains a clean and safe working environment by following safe food handling procedures, general cleaning practices and properly recording any HACCP requirements/forms.
• Maintains proper levels of kitchen supplies/stock for assembly of trays.
• Provides clean/sanitary cookware/utensils
• Provides clean/sanitary china/glass/silverware via operation of the dish machine.
• Disposes of recyclable products and/or removes trash from service areas and/or facility
• Maintains proper levels of supplies and stocks to support each station in the operation.
