The State of New Hampshire, Department of Health & Human Services, Healthcare Facilities, Glencliff Home has a full-time vacancy for a Food Service Worker.

Summary:

Food Service Worker I-

Performs routine and repetitive duties in assisting cooks and other food service personnel in the preparation of meals, cleaning of cooking and serving utensils and work areas.

Food Service II-

Performs routine and repetitive duties in assisting cooks and other food service personnel in the preparation of meals, cleaning of cooking and serving utensils and work areas.

Responsibilities:

Food Service Worker I-

Assists in preparation of food, following dietary orders, to meet requirements of menus.

Makes beverages such as coffee and tea, prepares snacks and supplemental dietary orders.

Serves food to staff and to residents, per diet order or supervisors instructions.

Prepares trays of food for distribution following individual diet orders. Labels items to ensure delivery to the proper areas.

Distributes food trays to various dining rooms via large food carts.

Cleans serving/cooking utensils, dishes and pots/pans and work and eating areas in accordance with federal nursing facility standards.

Operates dishwashing machine, mixers, slicers, or other food service equipment following safety procedures; cleans and sanitizes equipment and reports breakdowns to supervisor.

Stocks dietary areas, including refrigerators and freezer, with supplies.

Removes waste from work areas and disposes of it in dumpster, following health standards.

Food Service II-

Assists in preparation of food, following dietary orders, to meet requirements of menus.

Prepares trays of food for distribution following individual diet orders. Labels items to ensure delivery to the proper areas.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

Food Service Worker I-
Education: Completion of eight years of grammar school or its equivalent.

Experience: No experience required.

SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS: Must possess clean personal health and sanitation habits.

Food Service Worker II-

Education: Completion of an eighth grade education or its equivalent. Each additional year of approved formal education may be substituted for one year of required work experience.

Experience: Six months experience as a waiter, waitress, dining room attendant or food service worker.

SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS: Must possess clean personal health and sanitation habits.
