The San Diego office of Wilson Sonsini Goodrich & Rosati is looking for a Foreign Filing Assistant. As part of the foreign team, you will work closely with the Foreign Filing Specialists to provide support. The responsibilities of this position include but are not limited to:
- Reporting of letters patents
- Preparation of PCT formal documents (assignment, Declarations, POAs) and reporting to client
- Preparation of 9 month conversion reminder letters
- Preparation of 27 month national phase reminder letters
- Obtaining national phase estimates (from foreign associates or using GlobalIP software)
- Prepare and send non-action item reporting emails to clients (ie; responses filed; publications, etc.)
- Special projects
A basic knowledge of foreign filing processes is required. The ideal candidate is efficient, flexible, detail-oriented, a self-starter, possesses strong organizational and communication skills, strong computer skills, the ability to prioritize, and the ability to work in a fast-paced team environment. Knowledge regarding CPI, FileSite/iManage, Global IP Estimator and USPTO's Patent Application Information Retrieval system is preferred. Occasional overtime work may be necessary. A bachelor's degree and/or paralegal certificate is preferred. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 3 years of experience, preferably in a law firm environment.
The primary location for this job posting is in San Diego. The actual base pay offered will depend upon a variety of factors, including but not limited to the selected candidate’s qualifications, years of relevant experience, level of education, professional certifications and licenses, and work location. The anticipated pay range for this position is as follows: $31.06 - $42.02 per hour.
The compensation for this position may include overtime and a discretionary year-end merit bonus based on performance. We offer a highly competitive salary and benefits package.
