Crown is expanding our aluminum cans manufacturing facility in Ridgeway, VA. This state-of-the-art facility is a high speed manufacturer for some of the top consumer product companies. We are in the process of adding talented people to continue their career with us.

We are currently looking for Forklift Drivers.

Duties include, but are not limited to:

• Operate power driven forklift to load, unload, store and deliver coils, in-process supplies, materials and finished products (including up to 30,000 lb. capacity machinery as required. Service production/shipping areas with materials and supplies as needed.
• Unload materials from trucks and load materials into trucks for shipment to the customer.
• Store materials by type and size in assigned storage area.
• Store coils/supplies for storage in manner prescribed by safety rules.
• Empty gondolas as needed of rubbish and scrap.
• Maintain inventory and housekeeping.
• Transport drums of waste oils and chemicals to storage area and label properly.

Must be able to lift 40lbs and drive a forklift to include the following activities:

• Must be able to stack metal briquettes continuously throughout each shift
• Must be able to move levers or controls that operate lifting devices such as: forklifts, lift beams with swivel-hooks, hoists, elevating platforms to load unload, transport, or stack material.
• Inspect product load for accuracy and safely move it around the warehouse or facility to ensure timely and complete delivery.
• Position lifting devices under, over, or around loaded pallets, skids, or boxes and secure material or products for transport to designated areas.
• Manually or mechanically load or unload materials from pallets, skids, platforms, cars, lifting devices, or other transport vehicles.
• Move controls to drive propane-powered trucks and transport materials between loading, processing, and storage areas.
• Know how to safely fill propane tanks and/or change propane tank on forklift
• Must be an effective and solid communicator.
• Must know how to read, comprehend, and interpret paperwork and schedules.
• Must have basic computer skills
• High school degree or equivalent (GED).
• Previous forklift driving experience is required.
