Forklift/Loader Operator Job at Potomac Supply LLC
Potomac Supply, LLC. is currently looking for experienced forklift operators for our sawmill in Kinsale, VA.
Responsibilities:
- Load, and unload trailers, sorts and transports materials
- Assemble customer orders from stock to prepare for shipment
- Sort and store product in accordance with predetermined warehouse location
- Locate and move products, as assigned
- Locate date sensitive stock
- Identify product damages and quality deficiencies
- Moves materials to and from equipment, trucks, trailers, storage areas and warehouse.
- Assist in maintenance and service of equipment as required, including inspection, fueling, safety and cleaning.
- Document and report mechanical operation and maintenance requirements
- Drives forklift safely and operates equipment within the guidelines for efficient and safe operation
Qualifications:
- Previous, consistent, experience operating a sit-down forklift or heavy equipment
- Attention to detail and high level of awareness to surroundings
- Good hand/eye coordination
- Wood products experience preferred
- Forklift certification
- Knowledge of safe warehouse operations and commitment to safe work practices
- Must be able to work the scheduled, assigned times and required overtime for position.
