Wis-Pak, a nationally recognized leader in the manufacture and distribution of Pepsi-Cola, Mountain Dew, Bubbl'r, Klarbrunn and other leading beverages, is currently accepting applications for full-time Forklift Operators at its Dyersburg, Tennessee location.

There are 1st and 2nd shift positions available - 7am to 3:30pm Monday through Friday and 12:30pm to 1am Monday through Thursday. Both shifts have the potential for overtime should shipping and production needs dictate. 2nd shift is paid a $1.00/hr shift differential.


Job Summary

Under the supervision of the Warehouse Lead, the Forklift Operator is responsible for a variety of functions pertaining to warehouse operations, including but not limited to loading and unloading trucks at the receiving docks, receiving raw materials, taking finished full goods from the production lines and scanning them into inventory for storage in the warehouse prior to shipment, stock rotation and overall warehouse organization.

Job Duties/Essential Functions:

  • Operate a forklift truck to load and unload semi-trucks.
  • Monitor the quality of all products or raw materials being shipped or received. Report any inconsistencies in the quality of materials shipped or received to management.
  • Transport materials within the warehouse; stack and unstack materials.
  • Sort, remove and replace damaged product. Sort empty pallets and shells.
  • Accurately complete required paperwork and documentation.
  • Remove finished product from palletizers, scan into inventory and transport to storage.
  • Follow standardized safety procedures and perform work in a safe and cost-effective manner.
  • Keep palletizers stocked with stretch wrap, as required.
  • Comply with all plant and food safety, HACCP, GMP, and sanitation regulations
  • Sweep, mop and clean warehouse as directed. Operate a floor scrubber as directed.
  • Hand-stack and sort product when needed. Bail recyclable materials when required.

Qualifications:

Educational requirements – High School diploma or equivalent.

Current forklift experience required.

Must be able to pass Wis-Pak's Forklift certification course.

Must be able to lift up to 75lbs.

Requires basic mathematical and legible handwriting skills, and basic computer skills.

Must be able to follow instructions.

Must be able to work as a team.

Must be able to read, write, communicate and follow written and verbal instructions in English.

Will comply with all safety and food safety rules and procedures.
