JOB SUMMARY
To assist in moving heavy equipment in and out of the shop by either forklift or winch truck. Keep yard clean and organized.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Assisting the manufacturing facility in moving all types of equipment in and out of the shop with forklift or winch truck in a safe and timely manner.
  • Moving equipment around in the yard and keeping yard straight and organized.
  • Be proactive in the daily work schedule by keeping the shop clean of empty pallets, and assisting the shop in the cleanup of trash cans. Assist in loading and unloading in coming trucks.
  • Comply with and participate in company quality and safety programs and initiatives.
  • Inspect all equipment used and perform preventive maintenance checks and services, notify supervisors of required repairs.
  • Promote a safe and quality environment in which to work.
  • Overtime maybe required to meet customer delivery schedules
  • Other duties may be assigned


Absolutely no use of cell phone or radios while the equipment you are operating is running.

Qualifications

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS / SKILLS

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
High school diploma or equivalent and 2 years of Mechanical experience

LANGUAGE SKILLS
Fluent in English. Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percentage.

REASONING ABILITY
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with situations involving limited instructions or lack of direct leadership. Ability to understand detailed drawings, bills of material, schematics, and work instructions.

COMPUTER SKILLS
General knowledge of Microsoft Word and E-Mail messaging

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS
Valid Driver’s License
Must be certified by Canrig HS&E to operate Canrig of equipment on the Canrig facility

Must be able to climb in and out of any piece of equipment. Will have PPE on at all times during the day while in the shop or on a forklift.

The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to high.
