Work in a beautiful building with a hard-working team. We have three dentists and are a growing practice. Come be the new smiling cheerful face of Moffitt Dental.
We are looking for a friendly and professional individual with the ability to multitask to serve as our office’s front desk receptionist. In this position, you will greet and check-in/out patients, be responsible for managing the phones and completing patient registration information.

SCHEDULE
Monday - Thursday, 7:15 am until 5:15 pm or after the last patient of the day and relevant job duties have been completed. There will be the opportunity to work on Fridays as needed. Full time, even with only four days a week. No weekends. No nights.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Greeting. We only get one chance to make a first impression. Be the smiling face of Moffitt Dental both in person and on the phone. Make them feel welcome and comfortable, and we are honored that they chose us.
New patient registration. Talk to prospective patients who call us, and call on prospective patients who reached out to us via the internet. Convert prospects into patients. Schedule appointments. Mention our third-party financing for certain procedures, and mention relevant discounts to help get them to book an appointment. Get their cell phone number so we can text them appointment reminders.
Patient service. Make patients feel comfortable, relaxed, and happy during and after dental treatment with a genuine smile and friendly conversation. Offer them a drink, and offer to set the TV for them. Strive to improve our customer service. Check patients in and out following treatment, and collect payments
Communication. Tell patients upfront needed information for appointments. This will range from instruction reminders for their procedures, the payment amount for their copay, or reminding them to show up early for their appointment.
Patient follow-up. Call them at home to ask how they are feeling after a procedure. Call them if they received a treatment plan but have not yet started it, listen to their reasons why, and try to help them. Increase office closing ratios. Manage & track patients who received treatment plan recommendations and have not yet started. Verify QC follow-up on every patient who receives a treatment plan.
Patient Retention. Call patients every six months to ask them how they are doing and chat with them to maintain a warm relationship with our patients. Open and read their chart prior to calling. This should be done daily for patients from six months ago.
Doctor-Patient Liaison. Be the intermediary between the doctor and the patient. Explain costs, payment plans, insurance contributions, patient cash required, et cetera. Make sure that everything is ready for the patient’s new appointment. Inform patients what they need to do to get ready for their appointment.
Phone calls. Communicate with patients by scheduling appointments, answering the telephone, billing, and ordering supplies. Call patients who have not yet started their treatment plans. Call patients before their appointments to confirm their appointments.
Morale building. Help us to create an environment of positivity and laughter and to create a place where people enjoy being during the day.
HIPAA compliance. Maintain patient confidentiality and protect operations by keeping information confidential.
Mail & correspondence. Monitor the office Gmail account and ensure the emails are answered promptly and in a businesslike manner. Create and download labels for mailing from UPS and other shipping sources.
Cleaning of premises during downtime. We all lend a hand with cleaning bathrooms, amalgam traps, dishes in the sink, etc.
