Front Desk Receptionist/Medical Assistant Job at Family Foot and Ankle Clinic
Our busy growing office is looking to add a medical receptionist ~ assistant to our Weston Office. The ideal candidate will have medical reception and assisting experience, which includes insurance knowledge.
Our office is growing and needs a detail oriented, multi-tasker who is a team player.
Responsibilities include but not limited to:
- Answering phones
- Scheduling patients
- Collecting copays and answering insurance questions
- Filing/scanning, pulling charts, preparing records for next day
- Knowledge of HIPAA rules and regulations
- Medical terminology is a plus
- General office duties
- Greeting patients
- Verifying patient insurance eligibility and benefits
- Entering information into EHR/EMR
- Obtaining patient demographics and history, answering patient questions
- Assisting with exams and procedures
- Performing x-rays
- Prepare rooms between patients, in addition to the maintenance and sterilization of instruments
