AVI Foodsystems is looking for an energetic person to immediately hire to fill the role of Custodian at our Headquarters Service Center in Warren, Ohio.

Duties & Responsibilities:

• 
  Performs custodial maintenance duties, including mopping, finishing and buffing floors, vacuuming and shampooing carpets.
• 
  Clean windows, glass partitions, and mirrors.
• 
  Dust furniture, machines, and office equipment.
• 
  Performs routine maintenance on custodial equipment.
• 
  Empties trash receptacles, bags trash, and disposes trash into containers.
• 
  Service, clean, and restock restrooms.
• 
  Reports needs and concerns to appropriate staff, which may include submitting or recommending work orders.
• 
  Request supplies and equipment needed for cleaning and maintenance duties.
• 
  Follow procedures for the use of chemical cleaners and power equipment in order to prevent damage to floors and fixtures.
• 
  Ensures proper care in the use and maintenance of equipment and supplies; promotes continuous improvement of workplace safety and environmental practices.
• 
  Perform minimal building maintenance and repair tasks such as replacing light bulbs, adjusting furniture, or other similar activities.
• 
  Performs miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.
• 
  Performs cleaning functions based on seasonal/project requirements.

• Previous custodial experience preferred.
• 
  Knowledge of, or ability to learn, standard cleaning methods and equipment.
• 
  Ability to work independently in maintaining a clean and orderly environment.
• 
  More than 90% of the job is physical work.
• 
  Ability to lift and manipulate heavy objects.
• 
  Ability to read, understand, follow, and enforce safety procedures.
• 
  Ability to understand written and verbal communications.
• 
  Scheduling availability to work from 5:30 p.m. to 2:00 a.m. weekdays.
