Full Time Custodian - Winnisquam Regional School District 2022-2023 SYThis is a 40 hour per week position with full benefits including medical, dental, vision, life, short term disability, flexible spending and dependent care accounts, paid sick, personal and vacation time, and NH Retirement.Minimum starting pay $14/hour Applications accepted until position is filled.REPORTS TO: Facilities SupervisorQUALIFICATIONS: High School diploma or G.E.D. preferredSix months to one year of custodial experience, or any combination of education and experience that demonstrates knowledge of the tasks and functions of the jobAbility to work in environments with different needs, and understand and follow instructionsSuch alternatives to these qualifications as the Superintendent may find appropriate and acceptableJOB DESCRIPTION: To perform routine maintenance and cleaning of school buildings in support of education, extra and co-curricular programs of the school districtFamiliar with, and execute, safe work procedures associated with assigned workMaintain effective, appropriate work relations with building staff, students, contractors, regulatory agencies and the communityPerform other tasks and responsibilities as assigned by Facilities Supervisor or Director of FacilitiesAvailable for emergencies, or additional work and/or overtime, as required and approvedJOB RESPONSIBILITES: Maintain appearance and cleanliness of floors, carpets and common areas in each assigned building, to include washing and waxing, as needed or determined by the building principal or department headEmpty trash receptacles in each assigned building, and transfer to disposal locationMaintain clean and sanitary conditions, and supplies in restrooms in each assigned building. Maintain cleanliness of glass and mirror surfaces in each assigned buildingSet and reset classrooms and common areas before and after activities, as requiredRemove dirt, debris, snow and ice from walkways at each assigned buildingPerform repairs of a minor or routine nature in and around each assigned building Maintain illumination and safety equipment in each assigned buildingMonitor performance of equipment and components and alert the Facilities Supervisor to problems and suggest improvements Report all records of inspections, tests, and repairs to the Director of Facilities Maintain security, and monitor and limit access to building in accordance with established policies and proceduresRefer students to the Building Principal when disciplinary action may be required EOE
