FULL TIME GRAPHIC & PACKAGING DESIGNER

We are looking for full time graphic designer to join our Art/ Design Team in our midtown Manhattan location. Designer will develop art & graphics, product life style images and renderings to be used on packaging and/or presentations for a wide variety of housewares, home office and wall décor items, in a collaborative, hands on, fast pace environment.

RESPONSABILITIES

• Develop art and graphics to be used on the packaging and branding of a wide variety of housewares, wall décor items and picture frames in a fast-paced, deadline driven environment.
• Work on applying graphics over provided various packaging dielines, alter dielines as needed to match the product, and promote its best qualities.
• Communicate regularly with overseas factories via email, to follow up with the projects, to ensure timely and successful end results
• Review factory samples, make necessary adjustments, and approve final print proofs for mass production.
• Create attractive product lifestyles presenting items in appropriate room settings, following brand guidelines and current Home trends, using Photoshop and Light room.
• Occasionally work on developing visual presentation materials for the Sales and Marketing teams, to promote our products.
• As needed, build packaging mock-ups and illustrations for presentations.

SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS

• Fluency in Adobe Creative suit, focusing mainly on Illustrator & Photoshop (Lightroom and InDesign experiences are a plus)
• Team player to work in a harmonious, collaborative environment with other designers and product development teams, reporting to Art Director
• Problem solving, open-to-learn, enthusiastic, positive attitude. We are open to train and help develop new skill sets for someone who is open and enthusiastic to grow with us.
• Ability to create product life style images by superimposing elements from stock photography
• Ability to color correct and adjust/ manipulate photography as needed
• Ability to create visuals for presentations
• Flexibility to design in different styles to match the needs of various customers and the brand style guides.
• Organizational skills and attention to detail
• Ability to follow up with her/ his own projects and maintain clear and timely communication with over-seas factories
• Fluency in English
