Overview:
The Grants Manager is responsible for managing and reporting on all foundation and government grants, keeping the big picture in mind while attending to all details including deliverables and budgets. Reporting to the Senior Director of Development, this position ensures that all grant deliverables are met and funds are utilized within the parameters of funder requirements and MCC’s internal policies and standard operating procedures.

If you completed your primary series, received an original booster and it has been more than 2 months from that booster dose - it is recommended, but not required that you receive the Bivalent booster.
Responsibilities:
  • Maintain grant master calendar, monitor reporting deadlines and communicate them interdepartmentally to ensure adequate reporting and compliance per funder requirements.
  • Oversee and report progress of grant projects and serve as liaison between external and internal stakeholders.
  • Ensure that appropriate staff are informed and trained on grant deliverables and reporting requirements. Work with program leads to ensure adequate tracking of grant deliverables
  • Prepare and submit interim and final reports to funders in accordance with grant agreement requirements and distribute to internal stakeholders as appropriate.
  • Work with finance and program staff to track and analyze grant expenditures and staffing allocations, and ensure compliance with approved budgets
  • Support interdepartmental teams to navigate any necessary budget or programmatic changes through communication with funders.
  • Cultivate and maintain relationships with organizational funders and stakeholders through strategic outreach and stewardship.
  • Assist in preparing and compiling components of grant application submissions.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Communications, English, Public Health or related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Project management and or grants management certificate a plus.
  • Minimum 4 years of grants management or project management experience
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities and collaborative relationships with a positive demeanor while under deadline pressure
  • Ability to multi-task, provide courteous team support, and effectively manage expectations and time
  • Demonstrated experience in creating and revising budgets and work plans
  • Strong organization skills with high attention to detail and accuracy
  • Demonstrate a high level of professionalism in dealing with sensitive and confidential matters
  • Highly proficient in Excel; knowledge of Grant Hub and Blackbaud Raisers Edge database highly desirable
  • Demonstrate strong problem-solving and project management skills
