Northeast Air (NEA), located in Portland, Maine, is seeking a Ground Support Equipment Technician.

This individual will be responsible for performing preventive maintenance and repairs on all airport ground support equipment, vehicles, and other related equipment.

Northeast Air has been in business at the Portland International Jetport for fifty years. It serves both corporate and commercial aircraft in a variety of ways.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Rebuild, repair, and provide preventive maintenance on airport ground support equipment, vehicles, and other related equipment
• Develop a preventive maintenance program - documenting and maintaining associated records
• Ensure Northeast Air's Fuel Farm remains operational and in compliance with all local, state, and federal compliance regulations
• Ensure daily monthly, quarterly, semi-annual, and annual inspections are completed and documentation completed as required

• Responsible for ensuring all GSE and facilities are operated, maintained, and inspected in accordance with guidelines

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or GED
• Basic knowledge of gas and diesel engines
• Knowledge of frame, chassis, and suspension systems
• Basic hand tool set up to 1/2" drive, basic power tools, and storage box required
• Basic electrical troubleshooting skills with the ability to read and understand schematics
• Experience with diesel, hydraulics, and electrical equipment
• 2 years of experience with aviation ground support equipment preferred
• Excellent communication, interpersonal skills, and the ability to interface with all levels of employees and management
