H-2B Recreation Attendant (Summer 2023 Extension) | Montage Palmetto Bluff
Montage Palmetto Bluff LLC D/B/A Montage Palmetto Bluff seeks 5 temporary, full-time (35 hours per week) Recreation Attendants from 3/1/2023 to 11/30/2023 in Bluffton, SC.
Requirements: No minimum education required. 3 months experience as a hotel/resort recreation attendant or similar occupation required. On the job training provided. Must be conversant in English sufficient to respond to guest and employer requests.
Duties: Ensure safety & maintain cleanliness of pool/spa/health club area, equip & guests. Assist guests with equip & activities, respond to guest needs. Assist guests with bike/golf cart rentals. Open/close pool area/health club area/bike/golf cart rentals department. Lead all daily activities including setup and breakdown. Assist Manager with guest activity/rental signup/reservation request. Report issues to maintenance. Maintain supplies, keep daily reports and logs; maintain supply of pool/spa/health club towels for guests and ensure usage rules are adhered. Issue locker keys. Carry soiled towels to laundry and carry clean pool towels from laundry to pool deck; keep towels neatly folded & stacked for guest use. Maintain pool deck area. Other related duties as assigned.
Hours: Minimum 35 hours per week guaranteed. Open 7 days per week. Multiple 8-10 hour shifts, varied schedule between 6:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. Hours and shifts may vary with occupancy.
Wage & Overtime: Wage is $15.00. Employer may increase wage based on experience and/or provide additional pay for performance and tenure. Overtime may be available but is not guaranteed. Overtime wage is $22.50. Employer will use a single work week to compute wages due. Pay received bi-weekly.
Deductions: Employer will make all deductions from the worker's paycheck required by law and deduct approved cost of housing and daily transportation if worker elects. Employer may deduct
$5 for replacement name tag if employer-provided nametag is lost by employee.
Housing & Daily Transportation: Optional employee shared housing, approximate rate $200-$250/week plus $300 deposit, refundable. Housing application fee $180, non-refundable, plus $50 per application. Utilities responsibility of and split between occupants. Daily transportation provided to/from housing/worksite for approx. $50-75/week.
Fringe Benefits: 1 complementary meal per shift; 50% discount on Food & Beverage; Associate Accommodation Discount Program; 25% Retail discount; and, Discounted or complimentary usage of resort activities pending occupancy.
Additional H-2B Terms: Employer will provide worker at no charge all tools, supplies, and equipment required to perform job. Required uniform provided at no charge to worker. Employer guarantees to offer work for hours equal to at least three-fourths of the workdays in each 12- week period of the total employment period.
H-2B Travel terms: Employer will reimburse H-2B worker in first workweek for all visa, visa processing, border crossing, and other related fees, including those mandated by the government (excluding passport fees and need not include other charges primarily for benefit of the worker). If worker completes half the employment period, employer will arrange and pay directly for transportation and subsistence from the place of recruitment to the place of work. Upon completion of the employment period or where the worker is dismissed early, the employer will provide or pay for worker's reasonable costs of return transportation and subsistence (including meals and, to the extent necessary, lodging) back home or to the place the worker originally departed to work, except where the worker will not return due to subsequent employment with another employer. The amount of transportation payment or reimbursement will be equal to the most economical and reasonable common carrier for the distances involved. Daily subsistence will be provided at a rate of at least $14 per day during travel to a maximum of $59 per day with receipts. All transportation costs are to be preapproved. If necessary, employer will reimburse worker within first pay period for approved cost of meals and lodging at these applicable exchange rate, not to exceed reasonable costs. Receipts must be submitted.
Other Terms/requirements: Pre-employment criminal background check required, cost paid by employer. Must be able to work a 5 day schedule, including weekends and holidays as required. Applicant must complete an employment application. EOE/M/F/D/V
