Located in the heart of Chesapeake in the Hampton Roads area, Greenbrier Country Club offers an oasis of relaxation, camaraderie and fun with championship golf, tennis, swimming, fitness, dining and activities for every member of the family.

The spectacular course has been host of the LPGA Crestar Classic and is widely known as one of the premier golf course designs in the Hampton Roads area. Our golf facility features a driving range and complete practice facilities as well as lessons from our experienced pro staff, no matter your level of experience.

The centerpiece of Greenbrier's golf experience is our 18-hole championship Rees Jones-designed course, which offers an exhilarating challenge for golfers of all skill levels.

JOB SUMMARY

The Head Golf Pro is responsible for promoting the game of golf through operational structure and programming that provides a first class environment for Members and guests. The Head Golf Pro develops all golf operations department budgets including forecasts to see that all financial goals are met. The benchmark for success in this role is the growth in Member usage and revenues, reduction in Member attrition, and the high-quality standards for service, production, cleanliness, and safety.

DAY-TO-DAY

· Responsible for all golf operations at the Club, including, golf carts, bag room, locker room, golf shop, special tournaments, and Member/Guest events

· Responsible for hiring, training, and developing all staff

· Acute understanding of the critical role that Membership and exceeding expectations play regarding the success of the operation

· Develop aggressive Golf revenue sales, marketing, and net revenue plans

· Direct successful implementations by following established Invited budgeting and revenue guidelines

ABOUT YOU

· College degree preferred

· PGA/LPGA Profession Certification completion required

· Proven track record of team management, organizational and coaching skills

· Comprehensive knowledge of expense control as it relates to payroll and the forecasting and budgeting of expenses

· Experience with tee sheets and inventory systems.

· Diplomatic team player able to foster relationships with Members, Employee Partners and Guests

COMPENSATION

Base Pay - $70,000 to $75,000 Based on Experience

Bonus Potential up to 10% of Base Pay

Lesson Revenue anticipated $3,000 to $5,000 or more.
