Role Summary
Reporting directly to the Global CIO, the Head of IT – United States will be responsible for ensuring that IT customers, key stakeholders, and project leaders receive best in class IT service. Creating and improving partnership both internally across the technology organization and externally with customers, this role is a change agent with the mission to transform IT so that the right capabilities are delivered at the right time, at the right cost, and ensuring that IT is a key enabler of GenesisCare’s purpose to design care experiences that get the best possible life outcomes.
Reporting lines and direct reports may change from time to time in line with the requirements of the role.
Your key responsibilities:
  • Develop and maintain high-trust relationships with leaders across US business units, facilitating open communication of current and future technology needs, service delivery performance, business challenges, and ensuring that there is a responsive single point of contact for IT needs.
  • Ensure IT capabilities are delivered to US stakeholders reliably, sustainably, transparently, cost effectively, and securely.
  • Ensure that business-oriented service performance reviews are conducted regularly with customers, focused on IT deliverables which drive improved business performance and patient outcomes.
  • Ensure that customer satisfaction is regularly measured, recorded, analyzed, and is continually improved.
  • Participate in the definition of requirements for new services or changes to existing services.
  • Mediate in cases where there are conflicting requirements for services from different business units.
  • Ensure that the current and future service requirements of customers are identified, understood, and documented in Service Level Agreements and Service Level Requirements.
  • Ensure that improvement initiatives identified in service reviews are actioned, and status is regularly reported to customers
  • Contribute to the development of the IT strategic plan and roadmap
  • Support delivery of project implementations and operational support commitments.
  • Participate in the creation of annual IT financial plans including both capital improvement requirements and operational cost forecasts.
  • Provide IT cost reporting to customers on an ongoing basis.
Your key working relationships:
As the Head of IT – United States, you need to develop strong relationships with internal and external partners.
Head of Information Technology responsibilities include but not limited to the following:
  • Managing Operations IT staff and developing department goals
  • Developing and overseeing the IT budget
  • Plan, deploy and maintain IT systems and operations across regional areas
  • Developing IT policies, procedures, and best practices
  • Staying updated on IT trends and emerging technologies
  • Developing and enforcing IT best practices across the organization
  • Ensuring IT strategies and processes support company-wide goals
  • Overseeing relationships with vendors, contractors, and service providers
  • Overseeing and cultivate relationships Executive Leadership, Division Executives, Corporate Functional Leaders and Teams
Experience:
  • Minimum 10 years’ experience in leadership positions responsible for IT management as either a VP or CIO.
  • Management responsibilities for on outsourced technical operations
  • Understand SLA deployments
  • Implication of ITIL process and procedures
  • Demonstrated experience enhancing IT platforms utilizing in- and out-sourced resources.
  • Relevant Degree qualifications in Computer Science, IT, or Engineering
  • Experience within a diverse working environment (e.g., geographical, cultural and process diversity)
  • Influencing and negotiation skills to create synergies across the enterprise to enable cost-effective and innovative shared solutions in achievement of organisational goals
  • Proven track record of process standardization, adoption of best practices, service measurement, customer satisfaction monitoring
  • Results oriented, outcomes focused with excellent interpersonal and influencing skills

  • Report risks and hazards to line manager and proactively participate in risk reduction strategies

  • Demonstrate knowledge/competency in performance of skills relevant to the role, including completion of mandatory training
