Wholesale Operations
The Wholesale Operations group is responsible for executing all operational processes supporting the three wholesale lines of business - Commercial and Investment Banking, Wholesale Lending, and Wealth & Investment Management.
Operational process include, but are not limited to; Securities Clearing, Wholesale Loans, Collateral Management, Foreign Exchange, Money Movement, Custody, Customer Service, Account Maintenance/Account Resolution and Client Onboarding.
As well as executing these processes, the group is responsible for refining processes, and redesigning business operations by efficiently utilizing resources to exceed customer requirements and service. Our mission is to integrate, transform, and strengthen the enterprise through automation, risk mitigation, effective controls, and state of the art technological solutions to operate at an optimal level.
Operations goal is to build a more unified, more integrated approach to Wells Fargo's business operations functions focused on enhancing our operational excellence, meeting our regulatory remediation efforts, and better serving customers.
The Role:
This leader will work across the Wholesale Operations organization and will be responsible for building and leading a team responsible for Business Resiliency. Business Resiliency is defined as any event that can disrupt normal day to day business processing. Events could include, but are not limited to, system issues, inclement weather, 3rd party providers, pandemics, etc. As well as planning for the events, this leader will be responsible for meeting our regulatory compliance as it pertains to resilience and business continuity.
By leveraging and influencing key resources and stakeholders, the leader will be responsible for but not limited to:
$144,400.00 - $300,000.00 Annual

The Role:
This leader will work across the Wholesale Operations organization and will be responsible for building and leading a team responsible for Business Resiliency. Events could include, but are not limited to, system issues, inclement weather, 3rd party providers, pandemics, etc. As well as planning for the events, this leader will be responsible for meeting our regulatory compliance as it pertains to resilience and business continuity.
By leveraging and influencing key resources and stakeholders, the leader will be responsible for but not limited to:
- Identifying scenarios that could cause a disruption to processing.
- Working with operational teams to understand the business plans that need to be in place to mitigate resiliency related risks. Also, ensuring the appropriate testing of those plans.
- Developing table-top scenarios to ensure staff are prepared for the unexpected.
- Presenting plans to regulators.
- Developing escalation routines and communication capabilities that can be quickly enacted, and ensure the right leaders are present to steer the organization through a business continuity event.
- 8+ years of Business Execution, Implementation, or Strategic Planning experience, including Management experience, or equivalent experience demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
- 4+ years of management experience
- 8+ years of Banking Operations experience.
- Proven experience in business resiliency/business continuity planning
- Proven management experience in a large, matrixed, global financial services organization
- Significant experience managing an Operations organization, preferably in Wholesale Banking
- Proven experience in Business Resiliency, Incident Management, Reporting & Analytics
- Experience in Risk & Controls management and crisis management and planning
- Proven ability in partnering, collaborating, and building relationships with a breadth of stakeholders, including line of business and functional leaders across a complex, matrixed environment
- Ability to execute large complex initiatives in a large matrixed corporate environment
- Demonstrated ability to manage highly complex projects, processes, and initiatives
- Partnership approach to responsibilities, including ability to effectively lead (directly or indirectly) initiatives across lines of business, peers, partners, and key stakeholder
- Ability to think proactively about business and issues
- Strong track record of delivering results including demonstrated project and initiatives management and execution as well as sound decision-making approach to complex problems
- Ability to add structure to complex problems to drive solutions
- Excellent analytical and data management skills
- Strong communication skills, with proven experience presenting solutions to Operating Committee executives
- Ability to manage competing priorities and projects effectively for timely delivery
- Bachelor's degree
- MBA or other master's degree
