A regional leading acute care hospital located in northern North Carolina is now seeking an experienced Health Information Management Specialist to join their award-winning healthcare team.

This location specializes in emergency medicine, critical care, women’s and children’s health, diagnostic imaging and laboratory services, cardiovascular care, surgical services, and much more.
Reporting to the Director Medical Records, the Health Information Management Specialist will work directly with physicians and other medical personnel to ensure timely, accurate, and complete documentation practices. The Health Information Management Specialist maintains regulatory requirements, manages the data entered for tracking purposes, reviews documentation and makes needed audits, and helps with triaging phone calls and helping patients.
Requirements Include:
- Health Information Management Certification
- Prior experience working in an acute care inpatient setting
- Extensive knowledge of medical records and current regulatory requirements
