The Healthcare Programs Admissions Advisor is a part-time support position responsible to the Admissions Manager with a dotted line to the Assistant Dean for Liberal Arts. The primary responsibility of this position is to actively recruit for the college’s healthcare programs, and it requires a significant amount of phone work and travel in the community. This position works closely with the Assistant Dean for Liberal Arts to implement effective outreach strategies and adhere to the requirements of the Illinois Pipeline for the Advancement of the Healthcare Workforce Program (PATH) Grant. This position is fully funded by the PATH Grant and must meet all the grant requirements.

Provide first phone outreach to prospective healthcare program inquiries received via e-mail, web forms, contact cards, etc. within one (1) business day of receiving the inquiry.

Collaborate with internal departments and external agencies that lend themselves to best connecting with healthcare program prospective student populations (Adult Education, Workforce Education, Workforce Solutions Council, Dual Credit, Illinois workNet, VALEES, etc.).

Identify and recruit at sites throughout the district (i.e. from healthcare facilities to high schools, career centers, libraries, churches etc.).

Participate in college and career fairs and other recruitment events.

Conduct regular follow up calls to prospective healthcare program prospects as they move through the steps to getting started.

Conduct re-engagement calls for students who have not yet enrolled.

Create and implement programming including presentations and events specifically targeting prospective healthcare program students.

Maintain regular communication with designated prospects as determined by the Admissions Department’s Customer Relationship Management system, Salesforce.

Enter outreach notes and student information into Salesforce.

Maintain general knowledge of college activities, programs and requirements with the ability to refer inquiries to the appropriate personnel.

Assist with the planning and implementation of relevant recruitment events.

Assist with the department’s relevant direct mail as needed.

Perform other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in related field required.

Minimum two years related experience in the education field, including work with minority and/or adult populations.

Excellent communication, organizational and human relations skills.

Outstanding phone and e-mail etiquette.

Familiarity with CRM systems, data entry for updating student records and other student service/computer software.

Valid Illinois driver’s license required.

Spanish/English bilingual ability is desirable, but not required.

Ability to work occasional evenings and weekends as required.

Physical Requirements: Frequently outside the office environment while traveling. May frequently lift/carry up to 20 lbs. to transport supplies to and from locations.
