Healthy Futures/Nest Program Coordinator Job at YSS
The role
The Healthy Futures/Nest Programs Coordinator is responsible for the oversight of all activities for the Healthy Futures and Nest Programs activities, including staffing of all Nest Program sessions. The Healthy Futures/Nest Programs Coordinator will be a part of a case management team who will meet one time a month and provide the team all pertinent information needed for progress assessment on participants' goals. The Coordinator will act as a liaison for Family Development staff and programs with necessary human services agencies (Boone and Story Counties) to ensure that program participants' needs are met. The Coordinator will supervise and meet regularly with all Family Development Specialists.

A day in the life of a Mental Health Therapist can look like:*
- Monitoring Healthy Futures, Baby Bump & Beyond and Family Nest programs to maintain CARF and IFSTAN quality standards.
- Coordinating and implementing program curricula and activities for Baby Bump & Beyond and Family Nest, includes, but not limited to:
- Coordinating implementation of science/researched base curriculum
- Maintaining accurate tracking of program family participation, education attendance and points system
- Recruiting, maintaining and training program Volunteers
- Monitoring Boutique at both program locations, including but not limited to, purchasing, display, and storage of supplies
- Hiring, training, and supervising Heathy Futures, Baby Bump & Beyond and Family Nest staff and volunteers.
- Assisting with program marketing for Healthy Futures, Baby Bump & Beyond and Family Nest.
- Responsible for, in conjunction with Family Development staff, special programming and events.
- Providing crisis intervention, when required, in situations that demand immediate attention.
- Acting as liaison with staff, families, and social service agencies.

What you will need
- A Bachelor’s degree in human services, social sciences, or a health-related field is required.
- Completion of the Family Development Certificate/ Supervisory within 12 months of the date of employment is required.
- Completion of the National Family Support Competency Exam through the Institute for Family Support.
- Two years of experience in service to families and/or as a health care provider is required. Leadership experience preferred.
