B-C Equipment Sales, Inc ("BC") is a multi-location construction equipment distributor with an excellent opportunity for a Heavy Haul OTR Driver.

Abilities and Skills:

This person must be a proven Heavy Haul OTR Driver who is a self-starter and disciplined.
Excellent communication and attention to details are essential. The person in this position will work with a high degree of independence while reporting to various department heads. The Heavy
Haul OTR Driver position is expected to meet and exceed outlined objectives.

Works in a neat, orderly, and safe manner, constantly seeking to improved methods and the safety of others.

Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

Duties Include (but not limited to):

Operate, load, and unload variety of equipment to be hauled

Ensure that all loads are properly loaded and secured before the vehicle proceeds from each stop.
Personally check and inspect the load. Perform a thorough check of the truck before and after each stop

Properly secure any loose timbers and ramps with chains when in transit. Personally remove and put away chains or straps when unloading. Prepare before and stow after each trip, the vehicle, trailer, and all auxiliary equipment such as chains, straps, blocks and gear.

Comply with all DOT, State and local traffic and highway laws, rules and regulations. Safety operate all equipment in compliance with all legal weight and load size limits.

Take pictures of questionable machine damage and report immediately.

Assist in loading and unloading the trucks. Ensure all loads are properly prepared, loaded and secured to avoid shifting, loosening, or falling while enroute.

Work safely at all times. Adhere to all applicable safety policies. Comply with all company policies, procedures and standards.

Able to lift and/or move up to 50 lbs. Standing, walking, and meeting activities are required frequently throughout the workday.

Employee must be able to process paperwork and utilize office equipment (including personal computer, phone, typewriter, copiers, etc.).

Normal sight or corrected vision is required to read documents and use standard computer terminals.

Ability to move around continuously throughout a warehouse.

Work may involve moving or lifting of light to moderately heavy materials or equipment requiring physical strength and agility to withstand the strain of manual work.

Work Hazards and Environments:

Employee will work in an office environment with loud noise levels. Hours are normally first shift, but weekend, holiday and evening work may be required to get a job completed on time. Employee will perform complex job tasks while experiencing numerous interruptions.
