Help Desk Technician

We are looking for an individual interested in long term employment to work at our Wappingers Falls NY location. The ideal candidate will need to have a dedicated work ethic, work well under pressure, be highly organized, detail oriented. The ability to learn quickly and multi-task is essential.

Summary

This position is primarily responsible for handling tier 1 through 3 help desk tickets. Issues such as hardware diag and repairs, printer installs, outlook troubleshooting, connectivity troubleshooting, file permissions, AD user creation, Office 365 administration. The position reports to a Help Desk Manager and works with the Help Desk Manager to improve workflows. This position will also work with other IT team members on project work and skill development.

Responsibilities

• Basic power / Connectivity testing
• Software / Hardware installs
• Software / Hardware diagnosis and troubleshooting
• Peripheral installs
• New PC / User setup
• Office 365 Administration
• SAP S4 user creation
• SAP S4 Password resets
• Service Now tickets with managed application service team
• VoIP User setup
• VoIP System modification
• Travel once a year to trade show for 1 week

Knowledge and Skill Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in relevant technical field, or similar experience
• Ability to learn and support new applications
• Strong written and oral communication skills
• Strong problem-solving skills
• Ability to work independently and take initiative on new issues and tasks
• Office productivity applications
• Active Directory
• Microsoft technical certification is a plus
• Familiarity with SAP S4 Hana is a MAJOR plus
