    Care Resources is a long-term, comprehensive health care provider that enables seniors to live at home for as long as possible. Care Resources operates the PACE program (Program of All-inclusive Care for the Elderly) which provides and coordinates all medical care and social services to eligible participants. Eligibility: Seniors 55 and older, Kent County resident, able to live safely at home and who meet the nursing facility level of care.

    Under the supervision of the Care Resources Day Center Manager and Day Center Supervisor the Patient Care Assistant is responsible for providing various care services necessary for attending to the personal needs, support and health status of Care Resources program participants in their home.

    Hours vary - In this "Home Care" role, visits may start as early as 6 am and last up to 8 pm during the week, Monday - Friday. We are flexible for the right candidates. For example: We are willing to schedule 10 hour shifts or split shifts early morning to afternoon then late afternoon to 8 pm, we will consider hiring part time or full time.

    Wages:

    Non-Certified: $17.53-$19.51 (Based on experience)

    Certified: $18.53-$20.71 (Based on experience)

    Schedule:

      Weekend Rotation is required: Approximately every 6 to 8 weeks, but no holidays.
      Upon hire, the candidate will work first shift for the first month during the training period only.
      Preferred candidates will be Non-Certified with 1 to 2 years of Home Care experience preferred.

    Requirements:

      High school diploma or equivalent
      Valid drivers license, reliable vehicle, auto insurance and a good driving record
      Ability to read, speak, write and understand the English language
      Ability to stand for long periods of time and lift 60 pounds
      Pass basic physical including a drug screen and receive an annual flu shot
      Pass background check

    403(b) - As a full-time employee, you would also be able to participate in our 403(b) savings plan with a match from Holland Home after 6 months of employment of $0.50 for every $1.00 you contribute up to 8% of your gross annual wages. Fully vested after 5 years.

    Paid Time Off (PTO) - Your Paid Time Off (PTO) starts accruing right away and can be used after your 90-day probationary period. Then you accrue 2 hours per pay period for the remainder of the year. After your first full year of employment, you will receive a load of 2 weeks plus you will be accruing 2 hours per pay period for just over 3 weeks of PTO. After 5 years of employment, Holland Home will add another week of PTO to your PTO load.

    FLEXIBLE SPENDING ACCOUNTS (FSA)

    FSA - Pre-taxed dollars up to $2,750 per calendar year can be used to pay for eligible expenses. These expenses are IRS approved medical expenses.

    Dependent Care (FSA) childcare or adult dependent care - Pre-taxed dollars for children under the age of 13 or caring for elders. Up to $5,000 per calendar year, or $2,500 per calendar year if married and filing separately
