Terrapin Landscapes in Kennebunkport, Maine is adding a Horticulturalist to their growing team. Their local, award winning, family-owned business creates beautiful and functional hardscapes and landscapes for high-end residential customers and takes pride in their artisanship and their ability to meet the customers’ objectives. Terrapin professionals are passionate about their craft, have a strong desire to be creative, and are committed to excellence. Terrapin Horticulturalists design, create, and manage a variety of leisure, recreational and garden areas. They are a cohesive team that really enjoys working together and bouncing ideas off one another. They are motivated self-starters with strong problem-solving abilities who work extremely well with each other under tight deadlines.

Responsibilities:

• Provide professional advice in collaboration on the selection and planting of material and on maintenance practices.
• Assist with installation and execution of design.
• Perform fine gardening on schedule

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent with 2-3 years of experience in Landscapes or agriculture.
• Degree or HND in horticulture, agriculture, soil/earth sciences, environmental science or crop/plant science preferred.
• Clean driving record.

· Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to work well with staff and customers.

• Demonstrated practical cultivation skills and an aptitude for working with flora and fauna.
• Aptitude for commercial awareness.
