Job Summary

The Housekeeping Team Member ensures that hotel rooms or suites are clean, organized, and refreshed with supplies and amenities in preparation for guest arrival, subsequent stay, and overall satisfaction.

Essential Functions, Duties, Responsibilities to be performed with or without accommodation

Organize supplies and flow of work to be performed

· Wear provided brand-standard uniform, identification, recommended footwear, and protective equipment such as gloves

· Stock housekeeping cart with linen, terry, cleaning tools and products, room and bath supplies needed to complete the day’s assignment

· Plan efficient work flow according to rooms assigned as check-out or stay-over status

· Report completed room status to supervision or front desk

· Report room maintenance needs to supervision or front desk

· Ensure housekeeping cart is stocked and stored at the end of each day in readiness for the next day

Clean rooms within operational standards for cleanliness, and time requirements:

· Follow safe work procedures, including company key control procedures

· Use tools and cleaning agents according to brand and operational standards

· Remove trash and dirty linen, pre-treating stains as needed

· Clean bathroom surfaces, including mirror, sink, tub/shower, toilet and floor

· Clean walls, doors, floors, removing dust, dirt, marks, or scuffs

· Clean mirrors, wall art, windows and sills

· Dust and wipe furniture, lighting, television, remote control, and telephone, checking all for proper operation

· Change sheets or make bed according to guest status and preferences

· Restock or replace room and bath amenities according to brand standards

· Organize room and perform only “Light Touch” cleaning if room is stay-over status

Skill, Experience, and Competency Requirements

· Ability to clean and perform housekeeping duties in a lodging facility

· Ability to work well with others in a guest and team-focused environment

· Time Management capability to accomplish work within established parameters

· Customer Service focus to anticipate guest needs, greet and acknowledge guests, respond to guest requests, and ensure guest satisfaction

· Perseverance to complete work efficiently with attention to quality and detail

· Action Orientation to deliver the desired outcome – clean, organized and refreshed guest room or suite

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $15.00 per hour
