The Hot Shot Driver III is primarily responsible for hauling cargo to and from rigs, yards, and vendor sites, including securely tying down and safely unloading cargo. The position also assists with warehouse shipping/receiving and yard maintenance.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
The following items represent the majority of the duties performed by the position but is not meant to be all inclusive nor to prevent other duties from being assigned when necessary. Regular and reliable attendance is essential and required in performance of job.

Operates the truck in compliance with established safety regulations and procedures.

Assists in loading and unloading cargo.

Monitors trucks’ performance.

Maintaining the drilling yard by providing general maintenance and upkeep.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS and ABILITIES:
Minimum education, experience, technical, and communication skill levels, and licenses/certificates normally required to perform the duties of this position.
  • Ability to apply common sense to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions and to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
  • State Issued Driver’s license with a clear motor vehicle record
This level of knowledge is normally acquired through completion of a high school or GED equivalent 3-5 years or truck driving experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
WORKING CONDITIONS:
Typical working conditions and environmental hazards, if any, associated with this type of work that may be encountered in performing the duties of this position.
Work is normally performed in controlled conditions inside, but exposed to atmospheric conditions of extreme heat or cold; fumes, and gases are frequent.
The worker is exposed to noise, moving/mechanical parts, and vibration.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
The physical effort generally associated with this position.
The worker is required to perform most work while sitting for hours at a time, also standing or walking is required.
The work of this position is considered “medium,” physically, which involves the frequent movement of up to 75 lbs. to lift, push, pull, or carry such objects as equipment.
The work of this position requires eye and hand/foot coordination and manual dexterity associated with operating motor vehicle.
Vision and depth perception skills are required to operate motor vehicles.
WORKING RELATIONSHIPS/CONTACTS:
Positions, other than supervisor and immediate co-workers, with which incumbent has frequent contact and the reason for contact.
Internal – frequent contact with drilling personnel to give and exchange information.
External – regular contact with shipping and receiving individuals from various companies.
Supervision of Others – None.
