Summary of Job

Responsible for the coordination and implementation of the pre- and post-purchase Homeownership Program for the Housing Authority of the City and County of Denver (“DHA”) including maintaining a client caseload, assessing client status, facilitating group work, preparing and coordinating materials for client assessment process and classes, presenting classes, networking with relevant agencies, maintain accurate records in computer and paper file system, and facilitates fee for service and income generating activities.

Manages client case load including tracking client progress, completing assessments and reassessments, writing case notes, and collaborating with relevant DHA programs.

Provides case management to program participants working towards homeownership, self-sufficiency, budgeting and/or credit repair.

Teaches HUD/CHFA approved homebuyer education classes.

Provides post purchase case management to clients working on budgeting, credit repair, refinance, loan modification, foreclosure prevention, and other post purchase activities.

Develops partnerships with financial institutions, real estate companies and other pertinent agencies currently working with low-income to moderate-income residents and clients of DHA.

Manages/supervises assessment and post purchase follow-up packages for clients in the Homeownership Program.

Coordinates and presents information sessions, orientations, and classes for residents of DHA and the general public, including, but not limited to Homebuyer’s Club, ehome, Family Self Sufficiency (“FSS”) orientation and Colorado Housing and Finance Authority (“CHFA”) First Time Homebuyer class.

Responsible for maintaining up to date computer data base and paper filing systems.

Integrates program with existing economic self-sufficiency programming.

Communicates information about the Homeownership Program to DHA staff, residents and other interested parties.

Keep current on training and certification requirements.

Generate income for Homeownership Program through fee for service, fundraising, and other income generating activities.

Attends Colorado Housing Counseling Coalition meetings, as assigned.

15. Develops supportive services.

16. Performs other duties as assigned.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $23.00 - $25.00 per hour
