This is a new role for the organization. The Housing Specialist is responsible for managing our company housing and future housing projects including administration, maintenance, developing and building relationships with key vendors, managing repair of company provided housing for domestic and visa program team members. They will develop and implement our housing practices and procedures. Ensure housing is maintained and repaired to meet company and government standards and requirements for safety and other specifications.

  • Build and maintain the housing strategy, procedures and ensure we are meeting housing needs for the operations.
  • Provides and administers housing requirements for domestic and visa team members in accordance with company standards and government requirements.
  • Assist with move in/move out inspections; conduct tenant meetings; ensure contracts and deposits are in place.
  • Maintains rental agreements and necessary documentation for all rental contracts.
  • Complete minor repairs as needed.
  • Manage the housing budget and cash flow projections within the annual budgeting for housing repairs and the budgeting for new housing projects.
  • Ensure housing that is designated as ‘temporary worker housing’ is properly inspected, licensed and compliant with all County, State, and Federal rules, and regulations.
  • Conducts regular inspections and annual licensing of housing locations; ensure compliance with all state/federal housing requirements and identify any health or maintenance issues.
  • Ensures preventative maintenance and repairs are completed in a timely manner.
  • Supports housing cleaning teams in guest worker housing.
  • Develop and assist in after-hour needs procedure.
  • Accomplish HR and organization mission by completing related results as needed.
  • Performs other duties as assigned to include special projects
  • Be a self-starter; ability to work independently as well as with other team members and management
  • Attend required company meetings and training and participate in constructive discussion
  • Follow all safety rules and regulations while performing work assignments and adhere to all policies and procedures as specified in company manuals and as directed in the employee handbook.
  • Conduct self in the presence of customers and community so as to present a professional image of Threemile Canyon Farms.
  • Proactively seek and participate in available company-sponsored training, in an effort to develop and advance knowledge base and skill set.
  • Maintain a positive and professional working relationship with peers, management, and support resources, with a constant commitment to teamwork and exemplary customer service.
  • Perform all other duties as assigned by management in a professional and efficient manner.
  • 1 to 3 years labor housing experience in agriculture or related experience.
  • Associates degree or bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Products, Whatsapp, Excel, and Word.
  • Able to work independently and in a team environment.
  • Ability to make practical decisions in relation to housing needs while managing the budget.
  • Able to work safely around equipment and other people.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to prioritize, multi-task, and ability to identify, analyze and solve problems.
  • Bilingual (English and Spanish) preferred
  • Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a fast-paced environment
  • Candidate must have valid work authorization and be able to work in the U.S. without company sponsorship.
