Our valued non-profit partner in Chicago, IL, is looking for a Housing Specialist to join their growing team!
What will you do as a Housing Specialist?
- Provides direct service to clients across various residential properties owned by the non-profit organization by maintaining a caseload, responding to any inquiries, and providing general information to clients/residents
- Responsible for preparing correspondence, notifications, and internal paperwork for holds, reinstatements, and return security deposits
- Works in collaboration with team to assist tenants at risk of eviction
- Handles email, regular mail, and phone communications with program participants and partners
Who qualifies for the Housing Specialist position?
- Candidate with an Associate's Degree, Bachelor's Degree preferred
- Candidate’s must have at least 1-2 years of relevant experience
- Candidate must be able to move from sitting, bending, kneeling, or standing multiple times a day
What hours will the Housing Specialist work?
- Monday - Friday
- 8:30 AM - 4:30 PM
- Temp-to-hire opportunity
- 35 hours per week
How much will you earn as a Housing Specialist?
- Starting pay is $20-$21 per hour, based on experience
