Summary: As a Recruiter/HR Assistant you will be in a collaborative and innovative environment. Use your Recruiting skills to screen resumes, conduct phone interviews, move candidates through the interviewing process, schedule in-person interviews, sending follow up emails and phone calls. As part of the HR Assistant you would provide administrative support for HR functions including maintaining records and documents, facilitating the hiring process and assisting managers and employees with HR related issues or tasks

Duties and Responsibilities include the following.
● Posts open positions to appropriate sites, including company website and internal system
● Screens candidates and schedules interviews with hiring managers.

● Consults to and assists managers with selection and hiring process.
● Conducts background checks, verifies employment and education, and schedules drug tests.
● Manages applicant tracking log
● Establishes and maintains electronic and paper employee records including personnel, confidential medical, benefits enrollment, and credentialing
● Collects and retains I-9 documentation in compliance with federal law.
● Collects new hire paperwork, checks for accuracy and follows up as necessary
● Respond to routine questions regarding HR policies and procedures, inquiries and verifications of employment.
● Sets up and deactivates new employees in various systems; maintains key card access systems.
● Collects benefits enrollment paperwork and enrolls; updated payroll system with accurate deductions information
● Coordinates annual open enrollment
● Tracks employee status changes and updates payroll system
● Maintains strict confidentiality of sensitive information
● Supports bi-weekly orientation efforts
● Streamlines and recommends new processes to improve efficiency and effectiveness.
● Assists with projects as requested.

Education/Experience:
● Some college required, Bachelor's degree preferred. Experience may be substituted for education.
● 1 year human resources experience in an administrative role
● General understanding of employment law and HR practices

Language Ability: Can read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of an organization.
Math Ability: Can calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
Reasoning Ability: Can apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
Computer Skills: To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of
Microsoft Word; Microsoft Excel; Microsoft Internet Explorer 7.0 or higher, Google Suite.
