HR Customer Service Assistant Job at Florida International University

Serves as the first point of contact for all incoming constituents to the front desk and also handles incoming calls.

  • Serves as first point of contact greeting and welcoming visitors to the main office of the Division of Human Resources. Provides assistance and general information to the various university constituents as it relates to all services, programs and initiatives of the Division. Analyzes available on-line information to resolve inquiries, and based on complexity of customer's issue, may escalate matter to appropriate party for resolution.
  • Receives action forms and reviews for accuracy and completeness prior to routing to the processing center and/or appropriate HR department. Maintains accurate record of actions taken upon receipt of each HR form. Notarizes loyalty oaths and completes I-9 forms.
  • Provides information to new employees regarding deadlines for enrollment in Benefits and Retirement plans. Assists with appointment coordination and scheduling for the Benefits Department.
  • Provides customer service support to the General HR, Benefits, Recruitment, and Payroll cue backing up the Call Center. Resets passwords for various systems as needed. Maintains accurate record of calls by typing information into customer service software system and records all actions taken to resolve customer's inquiry.
  • Provides assistance in carrying out any HR projects and special assignments.
  • Distributes payroll checks and maintains accurate records of check distribution.
  • Provides assistance in training new staff members to provide necessary materials and confirm that they are trained in all aspects of the Service Center/Front Desk.
  • Handles incoming phone inquiries to the Division of HR.

Minimum Qualifications

  • High school diploma and two (2) years of related work experience.
