HRIS Analyst

Advise / Bloom, the insurance industry’s trusted growth partner, is looking for an experienced and dedicated HRIS Analyst that will focus on the support and maintenance of the Human Resources Information System (HRIS) across the enterprise. This individual will serve as the functional/technical point of contact to ensure data integrity and privacy, , system optimization, interface management, and process improvements. The role will support on-going system development, upgrades, testing and other technical projects as assigned. The HRIS Analyst will partner with the People & Culture, Accounting & Finance and IT teams to ensure employee data is flowing properly to other internal and external systems.

We are looking for an exceptional individual who can:

  • Lead the configuration, review, testing, deployment, and ongoing maintenance of HRIS implementations, integrations, and functionality releases.
  • Consult with HR managers and other departments to determine HRIS needs.
  • Analyze HRIS Performance metrics and resolve application issues.
  • Develop and implement new processes and systems for efficient HR management.
  • Optimize HRIS processes, integrating new software and performing diagnostic tests.
  • Identify business process and workflow improvement opportunities.
  • Translate business requirements into technical and process solutions.
  • Manage projects including the development and management of project plans, deliverables, and change management.
  • Perform HRIS system testing to include the development of test strategy documentation and project plan, writing test scripts, coordinating testing resources.
  • Maintain understanding of relationship between HR systems and data and leverage this knowledge to troubleshoot issues and perform scheduled activities.
  • Troubleshoot system application issues by determining root cause, researching solutions and implementing corrective action. May involve coordination with third-party vendors.
  • Manage the security, confidentiality, and data integrity of the HRIS system ensuring appropriate access and restrictions. Manage Admin rights and test environment access.
  • Audit HRIS system data on a routine basis for accuracy, security, data integrity and compliance.
  • Maintain data that is not systematically managed.
  • Design and manage various surveys to be leveraged externally and internally.
  • Perform application upgrades as well as provide training and technical support.
  • Ensure accurate end-user documentation, quick reference guides and video snippets are developed and updated for all HRIS processes.
  • Maintain highest level of confidentiality of all data and information.
  • Ensure efficient recording and secure storage of HR metrics and data, including attendance and employee performance data.
  • Keep track of technological advancements and trends in the field of HRIS.
  • Perform all other duties as assigned.

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Information Systems or related degree or relevant experience
  • 2+ years HRIS experience
  • 2+ years Business Analyst experience, preferred
  • Experience with ERP solutions (on-prem or SAAS) such as: Oracle, Kronos, Workday, Ultimate, SAP, ADP, Clear Company
  • Prefer experience with point solutions for HR functions such as: ATS, Onboarding, Benefits, Performance Management, Compensation, Learning

Skills and Abilities

  • Functional knowledge of Human Resources business processes
  • Demonstrated ability to work under strict time constraints, pay close attention to detail and perform tasks accurately and completely
  • High level of proficiency with Excel
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality
  • Strong written and verbal skills; ability to communicate in simplest terms including communication with teams
  • Skilled in project management including organization, prioritization, and attention to detail
  • Ability to show high degree of initiative
  • Strong analytical and decision-making skills
  • Strong understanding of data and data relationships
  • Strong team player with the ability to work across multiple functions and disciplines collaborating and building strong relationships with varying team members
