ProspectBlue is partnered with a local company looking to add a Human Resources Manager to their team in Richmond, Virginia. This Human Resources professional would direct people, processes, and help drive the talent strategy. This critical role will have a broad range of HR responsibilities and significant engagement with our company's senior leadership team.


ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Develop and implement HR initiatives and strategies that attract, engage, and retain a strong and diverse workforce

  • Actively promote company culture and lead new initiatives that encourage employee engagement and retention

  • Manage the recruitment and onboarding of new hires for a variety of roles that range from sales executives to warehouse/plant personnel

  • Design and implement employee performance evaluation and compensation programs

  • Develop standard operating procedures and update policies to ensure compliance with federal, state, and local law and regulations

  • Oversee employee relations matters including providing day-to-day employee support, undertaking culture initiatives, investigating workplace complaints

  • Administer all payroll, benefits, and leaves, including but not limited to medical, dental, vision, short-term and long-term disability and 401(k) plan

  • Maintain internal HRIS system(s) and employee files

  • Maintain knowledge of regulatory changes, best practices, and innovative technology in human resources

  • Organize and implement leadership, management and other development training programs that promote employee engagement and retention

  • Identify and drive process improvement efforts, leveraging systems and tools to streamline workflow whenever possible


REQUIREMENTS:

  • 5+ years of Human Resources experience

  • Professional Human Resources (PHR) Certification or SHRM-Certified Professional

  • Experience working and/or understanding of laws and regulations in different states preferred

  • Expectation of working from our headquarters in Richmond for 2-3 days per week at minimum

  • Excellent communication, interpersonal and organizational skills

  • Experience developing and implementing leadership/management training programs preferred

  • Extensive experience with HRIS system(s)

  • Bilingual Spanish preferred
