Piedmont Virginia Community College (PVCC) is a nonresidential two-year institution of higher education that serves Central Virginia – principally residents of the City of Charlottesville and the counties of Albemarle, Buckingham, Fluvanna, Greene, Louisa and Nelson. Our scenic campus is located in Albemarle County, Virginia. We are one of 23 community colleges in Virginia that comprise the Virginia Community College System (VCCS).
Piedmont Virginia Community College is seeking a wage Human Resources Assistant to provide quality service in Human Resources with integrity, responsiveness and sensitivity to the PVCC college community.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Provide administrative support to the Human Resources Department. Areas of support include recruitment, on-boarding, benefits, data entry, filing, scanning, answering phones and providing general assistance to employees.

Minimum Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications:
- Working understanding of human resources principles, practices and procedures is preferred
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong interpersonal and customer service skills
- Detail-oriented and organized
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software
- High school diploma or equivalent required
Scheduled for 29 hours per week, schedule to be determined upon hire.
Preferred Qualifications
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience working with Oracle Database Systems
- At least 1-2 years work experience in a human resources position
