Human Resources Coordinator

This is an ENTRY LEVEL & HIGHLY ADMINISTRATIVE position, as well as an excellent opportunity to grow in HR and Payroll!

Maintain strict confidentiality and discretion at all times. PROVIDE ADMINISTRATIVE SUPPORT for the Human Resources Department that includes a range of administrative / clerical duties. Interact with staff, management, and visitors to the credit union. Prepare reports, correspondence, manuals, spreadsheets, and all other communications utilizing a broad range of computer applications.

· Maintains the integrity and strict confidentiality of the Human Resources Department.

· Provides ADMINISTRATIVE SUPPORT for the Human Resources Department, including but not limited to preparing daily correspondence, reports and spreadsheets, making copies, mailings, scanning and emailing documents, preparing new hire and training packets.

· Perform regular timecard maintenance, ensuring all necessary entries are present. Follow up with employee and Manager to ensure any missing information is entered. Coordinate timecard approval process with Managers for each payroll.

· Process payroll on a bi-weekly basis.

· Assist with the employee benefits programs. Coordinate benefit administration including enrollments, terminations, COBRA, status changes, etc., in a timely manner. Assist with annual open benefit enrollments to ensure timely processing of additions, cancellations and changes.

· Reconcile monthly benefits statements for approval by Director of HR.

· Assist in pre-employment activities such as, scheduling interviews, sending interview confirmations, performing background and credit checks, and sending assessments to candidates.

· Process new hire paperwork and entry into the payroll and performance systems.

· Maintain up-to-date, accurate human resources files, records and documentation. Perform necessary file maintenance such as changes of address, name changes, job title, exemptions, etc.

· Assists with HR related record audits.

· Verify I-9 documentation using E-Verify, and maintain I-9 files.

· Coordinate the new hire evaluation tracking process. Notify Managers when 30/60/90, 6-month, and 1st year evaluations are due. Follow-up to ensure evaluations are reviewed by Director of Human Resources and Managers deliver to employee by the due date.

· Assist with maintaining Credit Union Vacation Calendar, and process employee PTO requests.

· Prepare employee attendance and punctuality reports for weekly review.

· Assist with planning and execution of special events such as Open Enrollment, Training Day, employee recognition events, holiday events, retirement celebrations, etc.

· Other duties as assigned.

Position Requirements:

  • Must Have successful Criminal Background and Credit Check
  • Must Pass Drug Screen

· High School Diploma required.

· Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources related field or a minimum of one year of Human Resources and/or active Payroll experience is required.

· Must demonstrate a high level of confidentiality, sensitivity and tact.

  • Working knowledge of Kronos WFR preferred.

· Excellent attention to detail, strong planning and organizational skills, accuracy, and analytical skills.

· Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

· Intermediate level Excel and Word skills are required.

· Self-motivated; ability to perform at a high level with minimum supervision.

· Maintain a consistently positive, helpful attitude with internal and external members. Act with a sense of urgency to resolve issues and provide outstanding service. Must be service driven.

· Ability to abide by Transcend's Service Mission and Promises.

· Present a polished, professional image regarding conduct and appearance.

· Ability to produce quality work and meet critical deadlines, while coordinating or participating in multiple projects. Ability to adapt to changing assignments and priorities.

· Available to travel and work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends as assigned.

· The employee is required primarily to sit, and occasionally stand, stoop, kneel, or crouch.

Work Environment:

· This job operates in a professional office and banking environment. This role may routinely use standard office equipment such as, but not limited to computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets, and fax machines.
