This role provides guidance for the organization, builds partnerships with employees, and maintains the essential blocking and tackling that every HR function reliably delivers.

Manufacturing based experience is helpful to go along with at least a year of human resource experience or a combination of the two.

JOB SUMMARY:

The Human Resource Coordinator (HRC) completes administrative duties for the human resources department of the organization. The HRC coordinates recruitment, maintains employee records, assists with payroll processing, and provides administrative support to all employees. The HRC assists with employee relations, regulatory compliance, compensation and benefits, and training and development.

PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Support the staffing needs of managers by coordinating the recruiting and hiring processes including but not limited to posting ads on internet platforms like Indeed, LinkedIn, and Handshake. Maintain and update ads when required until positions are filled.
  • In support of the hiring of new Wiretech employees coordinate interviews with candidates and the appropriate Wiretech Managers.
  • Support the recruiting process by collaborating with Managers and creating offer letters for non-production employees. Follow-up with candidates on the status of offers and provide updates to Managers.
  • Track the status of candidates and respond with follow-up letters at the end of the recruiting process.
  • In support of the recruiting process attend hiring events and other promotional events when required.
  • When appropriate work directly with employment services and recruiters to enhance the recruiting process.
  • As part of the Onboarding process, manages the onboarding of new Wiretech or Subcontract employees including but not limited to Orientation, creating new-employee files, providing orientation, and introductions to appropriate Wiretech Managers.
  • Assist with providing employee information that supports payroll administration and other HR information systems. Facilitate the completion of I-9 Forms, verify I-9 documentation, and maintain the hardcopy information in the employee file.
  • Support benefits enrollments by communicating enrollment dates and by guiding employees through the enrollment process. When required assist with processing required documents through payroll and insurance providers to ensure accurate record-keeping and proper deductions.
  • Assist employees with enrollment and benefits changes including terminations communicate changes with Payroll.

  • Maintain organizational focus as it relates to external HR-related matters and partnerships including benefits brokers and other key relationships.
  • Answer all internal and external HR-related queries and requests. Assists or prepares correspondence as requested.
  • Maintain and update employee records in hardcopy files as well as in HRIS including but not limited to payroll information, performance reviews, and any additional employee personal information.
  • Oversee the communications and status of the Apprentice and Youth Apprentice Programs.
  • When required facilitate employees through the FMLA processes including employee communications in an organized and timely manner.
  • Support and facilitate the Short-Term Disability process including employee communications and information gathering and engaging insurance carriers.
  • Support and facilitate the Workman’s Compensation process including employee communications and information gathering and engaging insurance carriers.
  • With direction from the Leadership Team coordinate updates to the employee handbook and assist in the communication of policies. Support new guidelines, procedures, and policies to continually improve the HR department and the employee experience.
  • Fully utilize HR systems that support employee communication, improve process efficiencies, track HR data, and help create and analyze HR metrics.
  • Play a supporting role in HR initiatives and programs that affect the organization and culture improving the employee experience improving recruiting and retention.
  • Support the organization's ongoing need to develop talent by understanding the training needs of the organization and through direction from Managers coordinate training and development programs.
  • Support employees by clearly interpreting the Employee Handbook policies including but not limited to absence and health issues, safety, and Workers Compensation. Document complaints brought forward by employees and review them with appropriate managers. Participate in Manager led employee coaching and disciplinary meetings.
  • Participate and coordinate Culture building activities including but not limited to wellness and company lunches, and Roundtables.
  • Ensure legal compliance with HR state and federal regulations and applicable employment laws by the timely completion of required communications and documentation.
  • In support of Wiretech Managers assist with the termination process including coordinating the creation of termination letters, COBRA, and other severance-related communications.
  • Other duties as assigned.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

Education: Associates or Bachelors desirable but not required.

Experience: One to three years of Human Resources or office administration. Working knowledge of human resources is desirable.

  • Verbal and written communication skills. Ability to present information in one-on-one, small, and group situations.
