The House of Good Shepherd is a continuing care retirement community (CCRC) who provides an array of senior living options on one campus should care needs change in the future. We currently have immediate openings for a Human Resources Generalist who demonstrates flexibility, show initiation, and enjoy being a part of a caring team.
What you will do:
- Responsible for full-cycle recruitment and management of ATS system: including sourcing, recruitment, pre-screening candidates, and scheduling of interviews.
- Generates and maintains records of personnel data such as hires, promotions, transfers, performance reviews, terminations, and employee statistics.
- Handles all New Hire Onboarding and ensures that employee files meet legal and state requirements.
- Handles employee relations issues; conducts investigations in conjunction with the management team. Provides
- Responsible for immigration processes and issues.
- Handles all leave of absence and ensures that documentation is in place under FMLA, and NJFLA guidelines.
- Responds to inquiries regarding policies, procedures and programs by interpreting company guidelines.
- Handles employment-related inquiries from applicants, employees, and supervisors, referring complex and/or sensitive matters to the appropriate staff.
- Have an “Open Door” policy where employees feel comfortable bringing forward concerns and suggestions.
- Ensure completion of 90-day and yearly reviews
- Support employee retention & retention programs
Position Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, or a related field
- Superior organizational skills with the ability to prioritize while handling multiple assignments and meeting deadlines.
- Solid interpersonal skills with the ability to work cooperatively with others from within and outside Human Resources.
- Strong self-initiation.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality.
- Strong MS Office skills – Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
