Jewish Family Service of Atlantic & Cape May Counties Margate City, NJ

Jewish Family Service is seeking an experienced Human Resources Generalist. This position will be shared with The Milton and Betty Katz JCC, working up to 10 hours a week at the JCC and 30 hours a week at JFS.

We are looking to employ an HR Generalist with outstanding analytical and communication skills. An HR generalist is expected to be a conceptual thinker with fantastic organizational and conflict management skills. You will have excellent negotiation and problem-solving skills with the ability to multitask and adapt in a fast-paced environment.

Job Specific:

  • Full cycle recruitment (screen, source, schedule, interview, and exit interviewing)
  • New hire onboarding and orientation (NEO), new hire 30-day check-in’s, manage new hire introductory period (evaluations & check-in’s)
  • Plan, coordinate, and promote employee engagement events and employee recognition programs
  • Organize and assist with annual and introductory performance evaluations, tracking and review with program/departments
  • Assist HR and staff with attendance, payroll, benefits, and general inquiries. Assist with HRIS upkeep, as well as work towards resolving any discrepancies with Human Resources & Payroll
  • Assist with leave of absences and worker compensation
  • Performs routine tasks required to administer and execute human resource programs including but not limited to compensation, benefits, and leave; disciplinary matters; disputes and investigations; performance and talent management; productivity, recognition, and morale; occupational health and safety; and training and development
  • Maintains compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommended best practices; reviews policies and practices to maintain compliance
  • Maintains knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment law
  • Performs other duties as assigned

Education/Experience:

Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field required. At least three (3) years of human resource management experience preferred.

Pay: From $55,000.00 per year
