Wollman Park Partners is the new operators of the iconic Wollman Rink NYC, located in Central Park. Our Guest Services Representatives provide professional and exemplary customer service to all guests, employees, and the community at every event, in adherence with Wollman Rink policies, rules and regulations to ensure a safe and world class environment. Our Guest Services Representatives fill a number of roles around the rink, and are the first point of contact for most of our customers are they journey through Wollman Rink.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Responsible for greeting guests properly in various locations of the facility, directing them to desired locations, and ensuring proper crowd flow

• Execute initial setup of small events at Wollman Rink. Greet groups and escort them to their private event space and act as host while group is onsite

• Provide World-Class service to all guests, vendors, and employees at all times
• Develop and maintain positive working relationships with all team members
• Anticipate and respond professionally to guests’ needs, concerns and questions
• Check assigned areas pre and post event; proactively report and address needs and follow up to ensure issues are resolved
• Learn all Wollman Rink policies, procedures, locations, and event specific information provided
• Provide guests with friendly, accurate directions
• Monitor assigned areas to identify issues, report and notify appropriate personnel, and ensure compliance with facilities policies, cleanliness, and safety
• Adhere to all Company policies and procedures, including uniform and appearance guidelines
• Work well with others, assist teammates, and perform and complete a variety of duties, often changing from one task to another, without the loss of efficiency or composure within Guest Services guidelines
• As necessary, handle tough, high-pressure situations while remaining calm and professional
• Complete other duties as assigned by Guest Services supervisors and managers
• May work in cooler or warmer temperatures; indoors, outside, or right at the doors and involve standing for 6-8 hours

Educational Background Required

• Must be 16 years of age or older
• High School degree preferred
• Ice or roller rink experience preferred
• Work permit from your high school counselor and guardian, if required

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

• Ability to pass a simple skating proficiency assessment test (for on-ice positions)
• First aid training is a plus
• Ability to demonstrate good customer service skills

• Ability to assist skating guests around the rink area
• Ability to work well unsupervised and in a team

Work Environment

Must be willing to work nights, weekends, and/or holidays

WORKING CONDITIONS

• Outdoor ice rink with temperature limitations
• Working conditions include exposure to heat, cold, and inclement outdoor weather, as well as intermittent noise
