In-Park Character Performer Job at Six Flags St. Louis
Character Performers provide first class entertainment to all Six Flags Guests as a park character.
Successful applicants will need to be able to work outside in a variety of weather conditions. Applicants will need to audition for this role.
Starting Pay Rate: $12.00/Hour
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Meet and greet with guests (shake hands, give hugs, dance)
- Maintain character costume (clean, mend, brush)
- Adhere to and maintain all WB Licensing regulations and standards
- Attend special events inside and outside the Park (promotions, photo shoots, etc.)
- Be willing to act as an escort for Costume Characters at designated times
- Be prepared and hydrated for the potential of a 20-degree increase in temperature from the outside air
- Keep guest safety and satisfaction in mind, such as guiding guests to and from the characters, maintaining order, taking pictures and assisting guests by answering general park questions
- Maintain a regular prompt attendance record
- Must adhere to grooming code standards
- Assist with other tasks and duties as deemed necessary
Skills and Qualifications:
- Must be 16 years or older
- Must be able to lift up to 60lbs
- Must have conversation skills
- Must fit all of WB Licensing Standards
- Must possess outgoing and positive personality
- Must be in good physical condition
- Must be able to maintain high energy while working in extreme weather conditions including excessive heat, rain, wind, snow, and below freezing temperatures
- Other: Requires additional audition
